Team growing at Fisher-Titus

The team at Fisher-Titus in Norwalk continues to expand.

John T. Hanna, MD, FAAFP has joined Fisher-Titus Family Medicine in New London.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Hanna to the New London community,” said Dr. Brent Burkey, president and CEO of Fisher-Titus. “As a provider already familiar with the area, Dr. Hanna will be a wonderful addition to the New London practice and our Fisher-Titus family. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue our dedication to the residents of New London through the addition of Dr. Hanna.”

The addition of Hanna to the New London office will include expanded hours for the location. Hanna will offer evening appointments on Wednesdays and Saturday morning appointments from 8 a.m. to noon. Hanna will also serve as a supervising physician for Fisher-Titus Senior Services and Occupational Health.

Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Hanna comes to New London with 20 years of experience serving patients in nearby Ashland. He sees patients of all ages, specializing in treating older adults with more complex medical issues. In 2015, he earned a “Doc Hollywood” award as part of National Rural Health Day for his work promoting rural health care.

Hanna earned his Doctor of Medicine at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Following his degree, he completed his internship and family residency with W.W. Knight Family Practice, The Toledo Hospital.

Nicholas Callahan, DO has joined the Orthopaedic Surgery Team. He specializes in the latest techniques in total joint replacement, total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and minimally invasive joint replacement.

Callahan earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and his Master of Science in Medical Education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill Pennsylvania. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Health/Millcreek Community Hospital and an adult reconstruction fellowship at Whole Health Joint Replacement Institute.

Callahan is now accepting new patients at NOMS Access Orthopaedics in Norwalk. He joins orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Nicholas Brown, Dr. David Pocos, and Dr. Michael Powers.

Katie Howell, APRN, CNP has joined Fisher-Titus Primary Care in Norwalk as a nurse practitioner. She joined Fisher-Titus earlier this year as a nurse practitioner at Fisher-Titus Convenient Care.

A graduate of Ashland University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing, Howell completed her Master of Science in Nursing — Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019 from the University of Cincinnati. She also attended The Ohio State University’s pre-nursing program.

Howell is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and Sigma Theta International Honors Society of Nursing. She has been working in health care since 2009.

Howell joins the Fisher-Titus Primary Care – Norwalk team that includes Dr. John Hughes, Dr. Scott Kaple, and Cari Spettel, CNP.

Leah Kastor, MSN, FNP, has joined Fisher-Titus Convenient Care as a nurse practitioner. Kastor has over 10 years of experience as a registered nurse in various settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Ohio University in 2015 and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Ohio University in 2020.

Kastor is a native of Sandusky and enjoys caring for patients of all ages, backgrounds and with a wide range of medical conditions.

Ashley Klonk, CNP, has joined Fisher-Titus Family Medicine – Milan, as a nurse practitioner. Klonk has experience as a nurse practitioner serving as primary care provider for patient populations in multiple nursing homes. She also has experience as a registered nurse in various settings.

Klonk earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Akron. She went on to complete her Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Chamberlain University in Illinois.

Fisher-Titus Convenient Care is located at 368 Milan Ave in Norwalk. The office is open for walk-in appointments from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
