The Erie County Community Foundation welcomed McKenzie Spriggs as the new director of development and marketing on Aug. 2. Spriggs comes to the community foundation after working for the City of Sandusky for the last seven years. While at the city, she played key roles in celebrating Sandusky’s bicentennial, establishing summer programming at the new Jackson Street Pier and raising support for amenities such as the Erie County Community Foundation Stage, the Firelands Health LED Screen, the Civista Bank Ice Rink and the Mylander Pavilion.
In her new role at the community foundation, she will be responsible for working with prospective donors, managing communication, outreach and event efforts and supporting the growth of the Huron County Community Foundation through a recently executed management agreement.
“The foundation is an amazing leader in our community – pushing progressive ideas, encouraging collaborative partnerships and supporting the nonprofit sector in their important work,” she said. “I’m excited to bring increased attention to the great work we do and learn the ins and outs of the philanthropic field.”
