Ribbon cutting planned to celebrate Catawba Island Jewelers grand opening

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Port Clinton will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Catawba Island Jewelers located in Harbor Light Landing, Port Clinton. The ribbon cutting takes place at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5.

Island Jewelers is a full-service jewelry store offering jewelry in all price ranges, including engagement rings, 14K, sterling silver, natural genuine stones, Pulsar and Seiko watches, diamonds and more. Fashion jewelry and nautical designs reflect the local flavor of the area.

Owner Kristie Pooley has over 25 years of experience in the business and has a great love for our community. Pooley has an AAB in marketing in sales, an AAB in business management and a bachelor of science degree from The University of Toledo and is a Certified Diamondtologist.

“I love coming in to work every day, meeting new people, taking care of the customers’ needs and am happy to assist,” said Pooley. “It’s fun to work with couples on their engagement rings, or resetting a worn-out wedding set or rebuilding a family heirloom.”

Repair services include everything from stone setting, ring sizing, soldering to a simple clasp. In addition, watch batteries or watch adjustments while you wait.

In addition, free appraisals are provided with any diamond purchase. If you have questions on jewelry that you have and aren’t sure what you have, they can take a look and assist you at no charge.  

If Catawba Island Jewelers doesn’t have exactly what you need, they will bring it in for you at no extra charge.
