BELLEVUE – North Central EMS and the City of Bellevue agreed upon a five-year contract renewal recently that continues to allow an ambulance hub in the city. The renewal took effect Jan. 1.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with the City of Bellevue,” said Ashley Ballah, director of North Central EMS. “This renewal shows our dedication to the residents of Bellevue as well as our commitment to serve the Fisher-Titus area.”

Mike Lantz, safety-service director for the City of Bellevue, stated it made sense to continue the partnership the city has had with North Central EMS since 1995.

“The City of Bellevue is pleased to partner with North Central EMS to provide emergency medical services to our residents that are second to none, while providing the most cost effective service for the surrounding area,” said Lantz.

North Central EMS, a part of Fisher-Titus Health System, provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation and wheelchair van services. Additional EMS stations are located in Milan, Norwalk, Berlin Heights, Greenwich, Green Springs and Monroeville.

Matt Mattner, chief operating officer for Fisher-Titus, stated that North Central EMS has been a staple in the community for years.

“They have been servicing the area since 1986,” he said. “We are proud that they are a part of the Fisher-Titus family and that we are able to continue to provide these much emergency services in the city. By having a station in Bellevue, it allows for increased response time which is invaluable in a life or death situation.”
