New London celebrates park improvements

The Village of New London and Fisher-Titus recently celebrated the opening of the new batting cages in New London with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The batting cage project as well as tennis court lighting were supported by Fisher-Titus.

“I have felt like a kid on Christmas discussing improvement projects with Fisher-Titus,” said Joe Thomas, parks & recreation manager in New London. “It’s been a great partnership bringing these improvements to life.”

The new batting cages and tennis courts are located at New London Recreational Park. The ribbon cutting was attending by New London and Fisher-Titus officials as well as local youth baseball players and community members.

“We are happy to partner with New London to improve and expand their recreation offerings in the village,” said Dr. Brent Burkey, president & CEO of Fisher-Titus. “As a parent, I recognize and appreciate how projects like the batting cages and improvements to the tennis courts can help keep kids active and away from screen time. Fisher-Titus has a long history of supporting the health and wellness of our communities and we are proud to continue that tradition with these projects in New London.”
