Morgan-Johnson to lead real estate board

Firelands Association of Realtors recently announced its 2021 Board of Directors.

Alex Morgan-Johnson, will be serving the board as president. She is broker/co-owner of Real Living Morgan Realty Group in Port Clinton and Sandusky. Since Johnson’s career began in 2001, she has been a positive and driven leader. She has served on several board committees and served as secretary/treasurer 2015 and 2019, vice president in 2016 and 2020 and president in 2017.

Janet Herzog, of RE/MAX Unlimited Results Realty, Tiffin, is the 2021 vice president. She has served as secretary/treasurer in 2020, has been on the board of directors since 2016 and has served on several committees.

David Amarante, managing broker for Russell Real Estate Services for Port Clinton and Fremont, is the newly elected secretary/treasurer. He has served on the board since 2019 and served on several comittees since joining in 2013.

Instead of the annual meeting/awards banquet, Firelands Association of Realtors held a much smaller version and adjusted the way membership could cast their votes.

The board would like to thank Scott Myers of Mike Myers Realty, Norwalk, for his dedication and service as past president in 2020. Myers will continue to be active with committees.

Marcia Shockley, 2020 president, had an extraordinary year to serve. The board graciously thanks her for the dedication and patience it took to manage 2020 with all of its challenges. She will be stepping into the past president director officer seat for 2021.

Frank Corder of RE/MAX Quality Realty, Sandusky, was re-elected to serve another three-year term. Corder served as president of the board in 2015, and is the Voice for the Realtors with the Legislative Committees. Ellen Coffman, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Quality Realty, Sandusky, was newly elected to the board for a three-year term. She has served on the MLS, Professional Standards and Forms Committees.

Firelands Association of Realtors encompasses Erie, Huron, Ottawa, Seneca and Sandusky counties with more than 700 members and affiliate members. The Firelands Association is a membership organization that promotes the advocacy of home ownership and community involvement through its members. The Multiple Listing service, continuing education, community service and extensive political action programs are just a few of the services provided and the group is affiliated with the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
