Local rep appointed to cleaner lake group
Submitted by OHIO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
COLUMBUS—Speaker of the House Ryan Smith (R-Bidwell) announced that State Rep. Steven Arndt (R-Port Clinton) has been appointed to a bipartisan legislative working group that will study the issues and challenges facing the long-term health of Lake Erie.
“I have lived my entire life along the shores of Lake Erie, and as a legislator, protecting this resource is one of my top priorities,” said Arndt. “I am proud of my work in the recent passage of Senate Bill 299, which provides an additional $36 million to funding streams that promote conservation practices. I am excited to continue our conversation on how we can all work together to care for Lake Erie.”
Arndt is one of seven members from the House on the working group, which was set to hold its first meeting Aug. 28.
