By KAREN FRAKER

Jodi RuckerTOLEDO – Jodi Rucker, vice president of patient care services/chief nursing officer at ProMedica Memorial and Fostoria Community Hospital, recently received a 2018 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award at the 23rd annual ceremony. She was selected from a record number of 255 candidates.

The death of her father as a result of a serious safety event at a world-renowned hospital drove Rucker to become a chief nursing officer. In 2017 she gained the added responsibility of CNO of the ProMedica Center of Nursing Excellence.  She served as a volunteer examiner for The Partnership for Excellence in 2018.

Rucker, a resident of Bellevue, has received numerous awards during her career, including the ProMedica Memorial Hospital’s Partnership for Excellence Governor’s Award in 2016 and 2017.

Rucker is a member of Sandusky County Family and Children First Council, a Terra State University Nursing Advisory Board member and a ProMedica Health system Nursing Advisory Board member. She volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and Purple Pride in Fremont.

She earned an associate degree in nursing from Lorain County Community College, obtained a bachelor and master of science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
