Hospice of North Central Ohio appoints McGee to board of directors

Hospice of North Central Ohio is pleased to welcome Thomas McGee of Ashland to their board of directors.
“Tom has been a resident of Ashland for many years and brings a wealth of experience to our organization,” said Ralph Tomassi, Chief Development Officer.
“Tom is well-known and well respected throughout our community and has been engaged in a multitude of volunteer roles for many local non-profit organizations,” Bill Kahl, HNCO Executive Director, said. “I look forward to working with Tom.”
A former executive at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, retiring in 2002, McGee has worked as a consultant in the polymer and bioscience field and served as VP of for Americas International. McGee then was Polymer Director at Ashland Precision Tooling and a founder of Delta Plant Technologies.
Since 1985, McGee has been very involved as a member of the City of Ashland Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as President for the past 26 years. As Chairman of the Route 250 By-Pass Project, McGee was also instrumental in getting that project awarded. He also served on the first community wide needs assessment and was chairman of the storm water committee. In addition to HNCO, McGee has been a board member at Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, Samaritan Regional Health System, Ashland University School of Science, North Central University Bioscience, Akron University Fisher Institute of Professional Selling, Ohio Rubber Group, Ashland County Council on Aging, Saint Edward’s Church, Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center, United way of Ashland-Industrial Division and Main Street Ashland.
McGee received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and his master’s in business administration from Kent State University. McGee and his wife Bonnie reside in Ashland.
As the area’s oldest and largest non-profit hospice organization, Hospice of North Central Ohio has served thousands of families with compassionate end-of-life and Palliative care, bereavement programs and services since 1988.
