Herman Crematorium opens – offering on-site cremation services at Herman Funeral Homes
By TYLER KNEESKERN, Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County
The Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County recently celebrated the opening of the Herman Crematorium at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home located at 900 North St. in Fremont.
Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home and Cremation Services has always offered cremation services, but with the opening of the Herman Crematorium can now offer the services on-site, instead of outsourcing to a third party. Owner, funeral director and embalmer, Mark Herman, sees the on-site cremation services as a way to meet the communities needs as it becomes more “friendly” toward cremation choices.
“We hope to retain the trust of the families we serve by offering the cremation services ourselves,” said Herman.
Along with the Fremont funeral facility, Herman Funeral Homes, LLC also has a second funeral home in Gibsonburg – Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 319 W. Madison St. Both funeral homes offer many options for funeral and memorial services and are fully functional during the pandemic.
