TIFFIN – After four years of operating out of rented spaces in Tiffin, Tiffin Community Health Center recently completed the renovation of 1344 W. Seneca Ave. and started offering services there July 1. The facility houses primary care physicians covering pediatrics to geriatrics, a dentist office with pediatric care and counseling. An on-site pharmacy is to be open in five weeks.

Tiffin Community Health Center is a federally qualified health center operated by Health Partners of Western Ohio. The facility underwent a $2.2 million investment in renovations and equipment purchases. It is one of 18 such facilities in Northwest Ohio, and the sixth dental clinic operated by Health Partners of Western Ohio.

The center accepts all forms of insurance, Medicaid and Medicare works with uninsured patients to provide services on a sliding fee scale. It primarily serves people living below 200 percent of the poverty level and works with patients to ensure their medical and mental health needs are being met.

Janis Sunderhaus, CEO of Health Partners of Western Ohio said: “When it comes to a person’s health, we don’t feel like we can take care of one thing without taking care of everything. We hope to achieve that at this new facility, which is the endgame of years of looking for the right place in Tiffin.”

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz commented: “The City of Tiffin thanks Health Partners of Western Ohio for making this investment in the Tiffin community, and we hope they continue to grow and provide services to our citizens.”
