Grand opening celebrations planned at Bassett’s Hardware and City Market

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Port Clinton are pleased to announce a Ribbon Cutting ceremony and Open House to celebrate the Opening Bassett’s Hardware and City Market located at 1608 E. Perry St., Port Clinton . The Open House and Ribbon Cutting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2with the Ribbon Cutting taking place at 10 a.m.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. where store managers Ron Clark and Rob Carpenter, CEO Charlie Bassett and chairman Mike Bassett will be speaking. After the event, Dorothy Bassett will be passing out slices of Grand Opening Cake – as is tradition for all Bassett’s Market grand openings. Vendors will also be on hand providing samples.

From noon to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, more vendors will be on hand including Krema Nut Company, Fireland’s Winery, Twin Oast Brewing, Toft’s Ice Cream and Moore Orchards. There will be give-aways during these times as well.

Services that are available at the new location includes fresh, hand-cut and local produce, store-made deli salads and dips, pre-sliced deli meats and cheeses, a fresh bakery selection including Bassett’s donuts and a new coffee bar, domestic, craft and import beers, wine, grocery, frozen and dairy items, a fresh meat selection and a comprehensive hardware selection.  The store will also offer hunting and fishing licenses, UPS drop-off and Ohio Lottery.
