Goodwill reports record-breaking opening weekend

HURON – Goodwill Industries of Erie, Huron, Ottawa and Sandusky counties unveiled its newest retail store during a ribbon cutting event held Oc. 5 in Huron at 310 Lake Erie Parkway.
The grand-opening ceremony attendees included: Huron city manager Andy White, Huron Chamber of Commerce president Amy Roldan, charitable donors, project contractors and vendors, along with board members and the board president Bill Rodwancy of AutoGate cutting the ceremonious ribbon. Most importantly in attendance, an eager crowd of thrifters ready to shop the generously donated items from community members.
The grand-opening weekend sales set record numbers which are then re-directed back to the organization’s mission of serving community members experiencing disabling or disadvantaging conditions by providing customized employment support services.
If interested in joining Goodwill in supporting your community through the power of work you can do so in many ways. You can donate; gently used or new items to resell in stores, your time as a volunteer, monetarily through tax-deductible donations.
