Farrah McGowan declares Genoa a great place to live … for all
OREGON – Long-time Genoa resident Farrah McGowan has high hopes for local Northwest Ohio neighborhoods and their economic stance. McGowan, the lead financial service representative at Bay Area Credit Union serving Ottawa, Sandusky, Lucas and Wood counties, is optimistic about the robust economy and its benefits to the community.
“The strong job market, the increasing house prices and the demand for home-ownership is huge in this area,” said McGowan. And while she understands the occasional turmoil of the local financial environment, she also recognizes how it touches people as individuals. She recognizes a person’s desire for economic independence and helps provide options for achieving financial success. She knows that most “life events” center around love and happiness, yet she understands how money is usually an important part of the equation. McGowan is dedicated and motivated to make people’s “life events” happen. Her compassion for people is genuine as shown just last month while helping a member interested in first time home buying. McGowan realized the member’s need for establishing an additional credit line so that in a little over a year his credit file would be ideal for the home purchase. She provided suggestions and worked with the member to strengthen his credit portfolio.
“Farrah’s got a talent for giving the member not just what they want but what they need. She provides service that exceeds expectations and has the member’s best interest in mind,” said Jennifer Tober, President/CEO of Bay Area Credit Union.
McGowan plans to take her hardworking determination, integrity and benevolence to a new level. An extreme go-getter, McGowan sights are set on attending an executive education program within the next year. When McGowan isn’t overseeing Bay Area CU’s financial service representatives and meeting her member’s financial needs, the wife and mother of three enjoys boating, racing events and just hanging out with friends and family. Living and raising three boys in the Genoa school district, McGowan knows and understands the strong values placed in both local history as well as the current community culture.
