Croghan Colonial Bank announces future leadership changes

FREMONT – The Board of Directors for Croghan Colonial Bank and Croghan Bancshares, Inc. proudly announce that effective Jan. 1, Kendall W. Rieman became President and

CEO of the bank. Rieman has joined the Board of Directors of the Holding Company and the Bank. Rieman was formerly executive vice president and chief financial officer of the bank and treasurer of the holding company and was in that position for the previous 12 years.

Rieman holds a bachelor of finance degree from Michigan State University and is a graduate from the graduate school of banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been in banking for over 26 years, joining Croghan Colonial Bank in 2006. Prior to joining Croghan, Rieman was CFO at Thumb National Bank in Pigeon, Mich., for 14 years.

Rieman is an active member of Sandusky County Economic Development Corp., the

Sandusky County Regional Airport Authority and the Clyde Flier Boosters. He resides in Fremont with wife Lisa and three sons, Collin, Zachary and Carson.

Also, effective Jan. 1, Rick Robertson, former president and CEO of the bank moved to the newly created position of chairman at the bank. In this new role, Robertson will primarily serve in an advisory role and will serve as the chairman of the board loan committee. Robertson joined Croghan Colonial Bank in 2010 and will be completing his 45th year in the banking industry during 2019. Robertson will continue to be a director of Croghan Bancshares, Inc.

Director James Bowlus continues in his current role as lead director for Croghan Bancshares, Inc. which will remain as the top position on this board.
