Communities Foundation awards $83K to Sandusky County organizations

The Sandusky County Communities Foundation Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Community Grants. For the 10th consecutive year, the Foundation has awarded grants to non-profit organizations for projects that benefit Sandusky County residents.  These awards total more than $674,000.

This year 16 community organizations were awarded a total of $83,333.82.  The recipients include Camp Fire Sandusky County, Clyde In Bloom, Downtown Fremont Inc., First Baptist Missionary Church, Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Promedica Memorial Hospital, R.B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, Riders Unlimited, Sandco Industries, Sandusky County AG Society, Sandusky County Bicentennial 2020, Sandusky County Share & Care, Sandusky Township Fire and EMS, Terra College Foundation, The Community Fortress and the Village House.  Additionally, the Foundation awarded $25,000 in scholarships this year.

The Sandusky County Communities Foundation was founded in 1998 and provides a local vehicle for donor directed and community based giving.  Since its inception the Foundation has facilitated nearly $2.5 million in local awards.
