Business booming in Seneca County

The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Services and Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership continue to work together to show off our county to visitors, businesses, our locals and everyone in between. In just the last several months, we have seen a number of businesses grow or relocate into Tiffin and Seneca County, and we are just getting started.
Last October, Tiffin’s first indoor golf simulator, The Pregame, opened in January: the indoor sports center is to feature gaming areas for all ages like billiards, darts, ping pong, corn hole, shuffleboard, a slot car track and a video game arena.
The Tiffin Pedal Company opened this spring, where visitors and residents alike can celebrate on a mobile party venue, which allows patrons to pedal their way through different tours of Tiffin. The bike seats 14-15 people for two to three-hour tours, including stops at different locations. All food and beverages are BYOB, and tours will include stops at local places of interest.
Tom Rodgers Flowers expanded to include selling and renting tuxedos. Downtown also gained a new art gallery, Court Street Gallery, this spring. Simply Susan’s expanded to include a Wax Lab, which is an extension of Tiffin Candle Company where visitors can pour their own candles from a variety of scents and create a custom label.
Several businesses opened in downtown Tiffin, including the Laird Arcade Brewery, Reclaim It, The Chandelier Community Event Center, Overflow Ministries, Airbrush Beauty, Taylor Elchert Photography, Divine Style Boutique, and Higher Ground Counseling Center.
In addition to new businesses and current growth, the downtown has also continued its successful Third Thursdays events. Community members, local businesses and restaurants have partnered to bring themed evenings to Downtown Tiffin through Third Thursdays. Every third Thursday will have a theme, and participating businesses and restaurants will have special hours and are encouraged to incorporate the theme through decorations, a special menu item, crafts, music and more. Any downtown business or organization may participate.
As 2019 continues, we expect many more projects to come to fruition, whether it be in economic development throughout the county or continued investment into downtown Tiffin. Businesses, industry, and attractions alike all have a place within Seneca County, and we only continue to grow.
